Having just discovered my antivirus internet protector is pulling a fast one I have decided to change companies. Can anyone recommend a sensibly priced and reliable Co the use please.

My computer master GURU says use windows Defender unless you are in need of very high security & do regular back up's on to sticks

As per Daph, modern advice is that the inbuilt service is entirely adequate. In the prior decade I was using Zone Alarm, but not recently.

Windows Defender, and if you want to supplement that with something you can add on malwarebytes (free version).
The key thing is to have good backups and good browsing habits.

avg free seams as good as i need seams to have stoped any attacks ive been using for 15 years or more

Avast free always goes on our desktops and we don't seem to have any problems, but I probably wouldn't know if we did. Not my department.

i have 3 in use but not on the same pc but i dont use antivirus on its own i use a firewall but im also careful what i click on

i already have a few files on the system where ive been warned they could contain something and blocked from access but ive still got the file as the file is within a rar/zip file and theyve been moved into a folder with a warning

so the antivirus has done its work and warned to say it comes with the firewall

eset, comodo, and another but there firewalls and antivirus as well

when you play with keygens/code gens / hacks and ways to get past registration for software you have to decide whats safe and what to ignore many programs block stuff whats been said so a program that you can choose to except the file compared to a damn annoying program that says you cant have it because we say you cant have it and deletes it then you loose programs to use
