Service isn't the issue - that's simple - this is repair, and not having parts to exchange make diagnosis neigh on impossible. Just buying / swapping bits gets expensive very quickly with things like the ignition unit and bendy pcb clocking in at a tad under £100 delivered
Dirty battery contacts was the usual problem with mine, it's not been used for a few years now if you feels like making an offer awmawson, first fix type.

I don't wish to sound ungrateful, but I was actually looking for contact details for an independent Paslode fixer rather than trying remote diagnosis. Hence at this stage the symptoms aren't relevant.
