Parts Washer

Do people still use those paraffin parts washers? A friend of mine has been given one as part of a house clearance. It is free standing on a drum with a bath on top. Not sure whether to sell it or just weigh it in.

could def do with decent one using old oil drum cut in half at mo

They actually use special cleaning solvent and yes, I still use the one I've had for years.

We've got 2 of them on contract at work, they come in every 3 months and change the fluid (think it's Kerosene?)

i dont think i can get parts in my dishwashers mouth shede choke

I have used a dishwasher and it worked well.

The washer is going on Ebay and I'll put an advert in the classified section tomorrow when I get pictures.

iff like myself you do a lot of engine or small motor rebuilds including head work then they are worth there weight in gold..ide sell one of my kids 1st before my washer went

I got given one recently. It had a worn out pump rotor and the switch was busted, plus it was dented and bashed but I've knocked out the dents, re-riveted the lid on and bought a new switch for £3 and made a new rotor. All that is left to do is get the fluid.

use white spirit...its the cheapest option mate
