Yeah I know its just a saw but been with me for 20 years+ so its like helping a sick friend get better lol. So anyway it was starting to be a pain to start and noisey running rough etc basically needs a rebuildand not done one of these before so thought i would document it here.
dont have a picture of mine before but basically like this but had a harder life
Stripping down was fairly easy to this point
fair bit of scoring on the piston and barrel plus movement in the big end
the only issue was separating the main crankcase halfs as the bearing are pressed on ,there is a special tool but mine came apart quite easily with a few from a copper hammer in the right place
everything through the dishwasher next , i have a dedicated one in the workshop and no salt added !
