I've just aquired a Parker KarryKrimp swager for making up my own hydraulic hoses. Do I need to use any particular type of hose and fittings/ferrules or are they universal?
I also have a Parker KaryKrimp. Although I've used a few Parker fittings, I now use generic two part ones. However a HUGE caveat. I am NOT doing it commercially. I ONLY make hoses for my own machines. I am the ONLY person to use my machines (JCB803 / Thwaites Dumper and a couple of tractors). NO ONE ELSE is involved anywhere near my machines. They only work on my own land.
Why all that - well in these litigious days any hose failure resulting in an injury would be a legal nightmare.
