Papr system advice

after some help from people who have used the systems before.

I feel that could do with filters for grinding and welding.
Especially as now a full time glasses wearer that half masks are a pain to use.

So seen the R tech spiritus system, Parweld xr943a and a few others for around the sub £500 mark,

I have other helmets (speedglas 9100xx, optrel e684, r tech speedmaster) but none with the attachments.
I want something as clear as these as mainly tig weld stainless.

Any advice/guidance would be great.

The R tech uses the speedmaster as the base, so know the optics are nice but is a smidge weighty.
I dont know about the parweld xr943a which is what i would like to know more about.
Or if anyone else has recommendations also.

So as a follow up,

Spoke to a couple of friends and got offered a speedglas g5-01 and papr system.
Worked out a couple quid more than the others but thought was worth doing it right.

Got delivered today so i am currently pushing buttons etc and excited to use it.

Its the variable shade lens.
Looking forward to using it compared to my old 9100xx.

im sure youll like it. ive got the variable color and xx lenses. i like them both. if i had one bad thing to say about the newer lenses , the battery doesnt seem to last as long. probly because its auto on. i wish they would of still made them shut off like xx

Store it in a dark place when not in use.
I've heard of the same problem from several people with the Esab sentinel. I store my Esab in the sturdy case of my Fronius Transpocket and it still on its orinigal batteries after 5 years. Nice big case with plenty of room for helmet, papr, charger and spare shields.
My manual-on Speedglas is always in the open air and on that one I think I changed the batteries ones in 10 years.

You got any documentation to back that up?
I think you're wrong. According to my internet search it has 4 photo sensors.

photo sensers only detect the arc. the arc will turn on the lens. but theres also a internal motion sensor that activates the lens from sleep mode. set it down and you can watch the lens shut off. pick it up and you see it turn on. constant movement in a vehicle for example will constantly turn the lens off and on

No need, I found the manual online and you're right.
So only way to stop that is take the batteries out.

well if the mask is used in a shop and placed on the bench at night it will stay asleep until the next day when it gets used again. in a car bouncing around ,the battery should still last about 1.5yr so removing the battery all the time might be more trouble than its worth

Will make sure it has a home to sit on to stay still.

So far been really impressed,
Have used it for 2 days, so far the head gear is a little odd, but the clean air and no misted glasses/welding screen have been bliss.

Makes my old 9100xx and e684 lenses seem really dark.
Just have to remember about the face surround.

was looking in the g5 01 and 03 owners manual. it says they turn off after 1hr inactivity. i call it more like sleep mode since motion wakes it up rather than a manual press of a button. also it seems 03 sleeps much sooner than 1hr as it can be seen the sleep mode activates in just minutes
