Panel beating

I have a proper sand bag for panel shaping but need to increase the quantity in it. Does anybody know which type of sand is best for this purpose?

Yep, I use kiln dried in mine. The sort of stuff you use on block paving.

Yep thats exactly what i have in my mini sand bag

Kiln dried sand.

Buy some, spread it on a baking tay and bake for a an hour at 70Deg c for an hour.
Sieve.
Then fill.
You want the top of the bag to give a bit and the leather to slide over the sand.
Give and flex.

I did that too as the sand was wet after being in the garden

Oh, yes, don't get the bag wet.

The stiches will rot.
