Having recently returned some poor quality panel beating tools to an ebay supplier, is there anybody that can be recommended as a supplier of hammers and dollies?
I would use Ebay again but buy seperate items, there is usually a selection of the older well made dollies and hammers, sometimes fetching very little money for a quality that is hard to find today.
Just had a browse under panel beating tools and again under panel dollies, couple of nice old ones there and some old hammers too, much nicer to use than todays cheapies.
Tis a good video. The reason for wanting the dollies is to remove some crash damage (spare car anyway) and the video was to illustrate a simple, clean way of doing it. Don't like to remove trim panels and disturb originality/make work etc.
Had the dent guy out today, now have to waxoyl where he didnt use tips. Found these and found this, if complete is a bargain (link edited). Spoke to seller and sounds promising, pending a further probing.
If you ever get the PDR stuff would be real interested to know how you get on
Also been looking for old panel beating kit, dollies, body files etc. Like you bought a "modern" set and was struggling with it - put a straight edge against one of the straigh dolly's and it had a bigger curve than the bent ones
Also all the faces are marking up so back to old skool I think
