Pan Lid

ive got a pan lid where the coating is comming off, it's about 30 years old and I don't know what it is, anyway I've just dropped it off at a mates tonight who's gonna take it to work and get it media blasted for me.

I need to get this painted again or else the steel will rust, should I go for some type of paint or should I have it powder coated??

The current coating is on both sides, the outside is fine but the inside is begining to flake off and cause the steel to rust

I can season it but much prefer to keep it original if I can with some type of coating

yer i know what you mean,if me i'd go for the long process of oil and heat seasoning

iff its like my chip pan then burnt on oil is the best

The old coating looked like some sort of polyester type coating, the pan is made of aluminium and the lid pressed steel, should have said it's a large catering size pan

you will need food safe paint or its anybody guess who you will murder in the kitchen with a pan
