The only people showing interest in my wheeling machines are Canadian, American and oz
Is there a economic way of shipping a pallet with a 30cm high load
Normal airfreight is £2000 so pointless

Yeah. Normal pallet by sea. I sent one of my fire pits for about £500 I think it was.
Try Streamline shipping. They aren’t local to you but I don’t think that matters. I’ve got them to pick up and drop off something that’s come nowhere near me

Probably worth appointing a concessionaire that side of the pond and send out a container load, they are good at internal freight over there.

Sending one at a time door to door is going to be too expensive no matter who ships it, a 20`container is about 2k and will get you the best part of 20 ton across the water. Last time I sent a container across it was one I bought (shippers own) which meant there was no double handling of the contents, that came to the same money as a crate I sent a year earlier. The only other alternative is contact a freight consolidator and share a bin with someone else.

Be careful sending anything Wood !! the US & Canada have requirements regarding treatment we ran into it shipping helicopter blades & gearboxes have had £200 bill to remove skids to allow forks to go under box, even though box was from US
Think a 3 ft cube with GBox (magnesium case) was over £750 & a 20' X 18" x 18" £ 1000+
The shippers seem to find fault even if the box was sent to you from there & it is a return load, what do you do if it is in customs/shippers/ Heathrow

We do this all the time.
For something 500e shipped we would be much cheaper. Probably half the price .
We are also launching a new customs clearance website shortly.

Try a company called Seven Seas shipping. They do things called move cubes. Basically a wooden box on a pallet. They drop the box off,you load it,they collect and ship it. Same sort of arrangement where ever it’s going to. They drop the box off with a trailer and comeback the following day to collect the empty box. Australia is anal about wooden boxes,so this bypasses the issue as they are made out of the “ correct” wood. First I heard of them was a couple of lads from Aus and Nz returning home. I used them to bring some car parts back from South Africa. Very helpful and I didn’t think overly expensive

I know Peter Tommasini used to ship his wheels from Australia to the US in small batches, almost as a group buy deal. He'd send them direct to a fellow metalbasher there, and they'd then split up the shipment and forward them all on to their final destinations.
