this isn't my mill but it's the same machine.

What a Day! This old girl is heavy!!

and it came with a copy of the manual! A bit of pre bedtime reading with a pinter or two

That must weigh over 800kg at a guess, how many pieces did you break it down into?

Stripped the table, saddle, motor, head and the ridiculously heavy rear cover off. The column was still massively heavy. Annoyingly the book doesn't give a weight, I would guess over 1000 kg all up, the engine crane didn't like lifting the stripped column!

Reassembly starts today

Steady progress now all the household chores are done!

Happily the mill isn't very worn so it's just remove the odd burr clean and really oil at the moment.

All back together, just the drive to hook up and the coolant system to sort out, it's a lovely heavy solidly built machine so it's a bit odd it's only got a 3mt spindle, I suppose it means all the tools will be cheap and plentiful!

I have the same mill. Any chace you could copy me the manual. Will of course pay. Fitting new motor to mine tomorrow.

That's a nice solid-looking machine. I'd say that uou are right it doesn't have major wear. The way oil grooves are nice and deep and the ways look quite nice too.

I can copy the book for you, no problem. It will be a while as I'm at work for 3 weeks now

Thats no problem. Been sat in garage for a year. Just switching motor over now. Last one failed when I started up
