I have some 10 inch mini steel wheels and have had them stripped and have primered them and will be applying old English White base coat and clear coat tomorrow, what is best technique to minimise any possibility of runs as it seemed awkward to prime them due to shape, the base should be ok, but the clear will be difficult to see how much is being applied.

For my two penneth, its difficult to spray small intricate shaped anything stuff with a normal sized gun. Go for one of the small touch up guns about £13/15 quid. Easy to use excellent control of paint flow. Very manouverable and capable of pro results. Big gun chucks a lot of fluid out quick and in the wrong hands be disastor. I have maybe 6 or 7 guns and wouldnt need to think which one to use. Hope this works -- from mobile phone. Stan
Well I have put the base on in two halves, just got to leave them a while then try to put the clear on, as they are 10inch not much room inside so maintaining perfect gun distance and angle is not possible, hopefully paint one side shortly and other later tonight.

Once the base is on you would normally clear straightaway or within the drying window, otherwise adhesion problems can/will occur
