Painting mesh panels - iso free 2 pack paint and technique?

Hello, my experience spray painting is limited to rattle cans but need to do a half decent job on these mesh panels, 16 total plus metal frame and posts.

They will be outside, finish doesn't have to be perfect but want it to last so I was thinking 2 pack but not interested in anything with iso.

I've stumbled on Ultrimax 2, which seems to be farmer friendly - does anyone have experience with it or thoughts/alternatives?

The other question is technique - should I gang up a few at a time so the ones behind catch some over spray, or resign myself to the fact that they will take as much (or even more?) paint as solid panels? Any tips on wafting the gun around to catch the wire 360? Thanks!

Sorry should add panels around 6'x4' with 3mm wire.

i used a roller on the last lot of mesh i painted, when i attempted spray painting most passes through the mesh and is wasted
your idea of stacking them up slightly offset to catch the spray is a good one and maybe worth a go

Just thinking aloud really, how about an LVLP touch up gun with the fan adjusted right down? You can direct the paint more accurately then.

Maybe I should use a roller, or a bit of both - spray the frame and roll the mesh? I'll have to do a few tests

i used to stack up wire spoked car wheels when i shot blasted them very effective

Roller every time.

Used to make a few guards with 1" mesh for conveyors and a roller was the only way to go.

I've not used ultrimax 2 but it seems very similar to hmg nisocoat 2 which I have used fairly extensively. It's a decent product and is a hard wearing durable 2k finish without the isocyanates, very similar performance as iso top coats, uses an epoxide hardener but somehow achieves decent weather resistance- UV doesn't seem to be an issue.
I would roller this though, in which case you could use an iso top coat, something like jotun hardtop.
Using a spray gun is going to waste paint and probably not achieve adequate film thickness around a lot of the mesh.

Electrostatic charged paint system would be your friend here.

Wonder if frantically rubbing the can on your jumper/dead cat would work?
