Painting hot zinc sprayed steel

Hello, after bead blasting and hot zinc spray, do I need to use T wash or mordant solution? Or can I just use a two pack etch primer wash? I'm treating a couple of panels from my Citroen DS Safari (covers for the hydraulics in the wheel arches).

Use an epoxy primer.
No need for t wash or the like and acid etch is old school now.
