What's the best primer for fresh galvanised sheet steel?
I've been bending up some slightly complicated panels from galvanised sheet. Where there are insets into panels I've been spot welding, then fairing the edges with lead free solder and smoothing back to give a good finish so exposing ungalvanised steel. To stop flash rusting I've sprayed the bits with high zinc content primer, but it just rubs off with little adhesion. I know there are issues with fresh galvanising and you are supposed to let it weather but there's no time for that!
