painting friends car help me!!! please

hes told me the paint dosnt need primer or clear coat. it has 2k hardner and 2k thinners. this is what confused me? i thought 2k paint needs both primer, clear coat. its the dupont brand but the container has no label. what is the paint? all i know is ratio 2:1:10% 2 paint 1 hardner 10% thinners

You don't need clear on straight paint, If thats what you have ???

Single stage, or solid colour. Laymens terms, the colour has already got the glossy bit in the paint. Basecoat and clear is spray the basecoat first (the colour - metallic) then spray the clearcoat to give the shiny bit.

Just mix your paint up 2:1:10% (i.e. 2 parts paint. 1 part hardener, 10% thinners) and spray it like a top coat.

Straight paint is paint plus hardener, COB is basecoat with clear plus hardener over the top, Its not clear what you have already.

cheers guys for the replies. it has gloss built into it but would it be worth putting a clear on top of that for extra shine and enough material to wetsand smooth?

id just put an extra coat of gloss round if you want to sand and polish it , dont see the obsession with everyone wanting to clear coat stuff that doesnt need it

Not much point really, I would put on 3 good coats as smoothly as possible and then flat and polish if needed.
