Paint thinners storage

Hi, I would like to buy a container to store thiners in, so i can put paint sticks, brushes, etc in it
I have seen some paint thiners stored in thinners cans, with the top cut of.
Wich i consider dangerous , especially if the garage is used for many different jobs
Been looking to buy some sort of metal container with a seal on it but they all seem to small

its a welding fourm get some scrap weld a box and paint it

I’m using a 5 litre paint can to keep thinners in that I’m am using for cleaning

Obvious answer, if you have safety concerns, clean everything after use.

Probably find most of us have used anything with a lid at some point.
Thinner by its very nature will evaporate quickly if not in a sealed container

We used to have a thing like a filing cabinet bolted to the wall outside, at work. I'd get a couple of sheets of scrap steel and knock one up, or get an old electrical cabinet or something like that.

I have a changing room locker. I put a few extra shelves in it, and two louvres - one top and one near the bottom for air flow.

Having had a thinners pot catch fire once,I use a pedal bin ,impossible to leave the lid off,the pot inside has suspension clips to hold the brushes immersed yet off the bottom,with an integral sludge trap,can’t find a replacement for it now though.

I use them for rags. One for clean, other oily. Saves worrying about sparks. Rags with flammable stuff on just go in scrap bin.

The large plastic 3 litre containers of Comma Manista are great for this. I use a cut off bottom of 2l water bottle as an inner liner & keep my brushes & wire stirrers in them with some thinners. I have one for dark colours & one for light colours, but I do give the dirty brushes a pre-clean before putting them in.
