Paint gun problems

Hi, I've got a Sealey 701 G spray gun that seems to be passing air from the nozzle, I've stripped it completely three times and given it a thorough cleaning and I'm pretty confident that it's not a bit of dirt blocking something somewhere.

I've also had the fluid needle out and everything still seems quite lubricated, the gun is only a week old though so it should be packing.

Any ideas what could be causing it to pass air?

You might have to explain a bit better as they are meant to pass air from the nozzle.

I mean it's passing air even though my finger isn't on the trigger, as soon as I hook up the air line to it there is air blowing through the nozzle, only a small amount though.

Sounds like the needle isn't returning to the seat

How would I fix that bearing in mind I've already had the needle out cleaned it in thinners and even gave it a very light going over with some medium grade sand paper and it's still the same.

I am pretty sure the main needle will only adjust fluid flow the air should have its own valve and seal behind the trigger, maybe seal on this is damaged

Had that pert off of it yesterday as well, everything looked ok and was still well lubricated.

I'll nip over to the workshop and double check it again though, just to be sure.

Was only a very light going over to get anything the thinners might have missed.
