I was introduced to full on 100% full fat English War Bows a couple of years back by a customer. They are quite astonishing and nothing at all as you would imagine, very, very effective. The arrows (he is a Fletcher) are not something, even without tips, you would ever want to be hit by and they are really beautifully made to a specification.
