I have to post something here, just by way of a personal rant. Having seen some recent news articles of protests in London with large groups of people saying all the Corvid has been a conspiracy, drug companies this, face masks that, marching together with no masts, the injections are hoax/tracking what ever they can think of.
Perhaps it is me wishing to be safe so I can enjoy more years. Then I can remember in the news, was it a week or so ago about the millions in India and the religious festivals about to start and I wondered why they were holding it, is life really so cheap to some that they are willing to put themselves and others at risk. I really con not understand how some can think their activities being restricted are worth more than another persons life!

So I better stop now. Stay safe all.


On the industrial oxygen, you must be able to mix it down or alter the flow rate to suit what you need.

I agree with you but remember lockdown barriers were reduced around Christmas which believe it or not is actually a religious event for Christians.

couldnt believe my eyes last night ,amidst a blah blah of publicity there was film footage of brits loading up bulk oxygen tanks into a cargo plane
surely not ! probably empty tanks possibly a publicity stunt , just imagine them turbines getting a whiff of oxygen

On most passenger aircraft there are large oxy bottles down in the equipment bay for the crew in an emergency....above every seat there's a couple of small canisters that can generate oxygen chemically. (That's why you pull the masks)

I have family and friends in India

All through this they have been laughing at us, saying it’s all made up and a massive overreaction

Then there is the rubbish medical system. I have experienced this first hand when my brother got ill a few years ago. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy

On the news yesterday, some insane number of new reported cases in one day, can’t remember the figures but astronomical.

Oddly enough, in the Philippines, where I lived for 20 years altogether in another life, they had ridiculously low rates of infection and minimal deaths last year, when europe was in dramatic death throes. But, even with their long lockdown, their infection rates are still rising slowly but surely nowadays.

I have an English friend who has been ‘trapped’ there for over a year. He normally lives in Cambodia but hasn’t been able to get back there. There are worse places than Angeles City to get stuck I suppose....

Someone once told me that medical oxygen has the bottles carefully cleaned, industrial doesn’t.

Any company that will pump 3000psi of oxygen into a bottle is definitely going to make sure there is no contamination in that bottle before they go ahead. Imagine if some bright spark had somehow got a bit of oil in one....

I heard something along the same lines, industrial ones are given a basic clean but medical ones are cleaned to a much higher standard and completely sanitized

When I worked offshore I ran and maintained huge 2000psi air compressors. 1800cfm type huge. We once asked whether we could use the air to refill our SCBA fire fighting bottles so we,could practise drills more often. The answer was no, because the synthetic Rarus 827 oil we used for cylinder lubrication in the big compressors simply could not be filtered out 100%, and it was carcinogenic if ingested in even minute quantities.

That wasn’t much comfort to me, who was in and around these huge air belching monsters all day.
