Years ago I had a RT180 running on single phase..simple enough.
E...earth
0...Neg
240....240 volt live.
380/400?....empty
415.....empty.
However I understand for a 3 phase supply the transformer is wired across 2 of the 3 phases, so my thinking for my new to me welder is as follows:
E....earth
0...empty
240.....L1
380/400?.....empty
415.....L3
Could one of our sparky types confirm or advise me, please....am I correct in my proposed wiring connection for the welders supply.
Note.... L2 supplies the house consumer unit, so the welder shouldn't effect the houses supply.
