Hi All, I have recently acquired an Oxford 180 mig, only the wire feed is not operational. I took out the motor and connected it to a 12v battery and it was fine. I have been told that the PCB has a few problems i.e. a couple of loose connections and a relay A schrack relay to be precise. but i was wondering, if the relay has gone is it safe to assume it may have blown other components on the board. Any help would be gratefuly received. Or maybe someone knows someone who maybe able to do a repair at a reasonable price, cheers Dean.

It's possible the contacts in the relay are dirty. This is common in any elderly mig, and generally happens without frying anything else.
