Overland camping trailer chassis

I am building chassis for a camping trailer 8x4. I will be having the welding done my a competent person. I know my limitations. I am limiting my self to tacking parts in place.
I have a couple of questions.
On the front of the side of the A frame I want to drill 2 holes to bolt a steady/prop is this a no no?
I have added a couple of braces that will be welded in place, but to make moving the A frame down the welders. Can I drill each side of the A frame and bolt through the brace.

Much better and easier to use - strong will take 300kg.

No problem using bolts. Just be careful you don't crush the box section - use big washers the other side.

weld a section onto the chassis and bolt the stand to that, allow enough space between chassis and section for nuts.

Drill through, then drill the inside bigger to take two crush tubes that are longer than the thickness of the chassis. Weld around the tubes. Much stronger than washers.

Another way is to double up on thickness by adding two [ ] shaped steel plates and crush tubes.

There is considerable twisting forces that will loosen nuts and bolts by squeezing the chassis.

I've got an 8' x 4' flat bed trailer with jockey wheel on one side. Not the best position and intend moving it to central behind the hitch IDC

the jockey will be in the centre because its will have brakes. I would like to fit one prop as well because it is a im sleeping in the trailer, Thinking that it would need more than just the jockey wheel as suport on the front.

like caravan stabilisers , may need something at the back too ,,, maybe it could double up as a step too.

I'd always use crush tubes to stop the box section simply flexing inwards, but also to stop water getting inside and causing rust.

I prefer the type of hitch that combines the jockey wheel, a bit spendy new but loads up for sale s/h.

Annoying thing about those is you have no option to move it further back. It's a real pain in the arris with a Defender back door as with the jockey wheel up 99% of the time you can't open the back door properly.

Place I stayed in Devon had a nice overland trailer, it had a jockey wheel and a prop on the A frame.
