Come on then own up, what's happened when we have went totally over the top or just got carried away? Or when you find yourself doing something something rediculus to get out of a pickle?


I found that clamping my small rotary table on the mill, by the mounting foot as designed was not sturdy enough so I clamped it:

You need to keep your eye out for a nice angle plate. They do come up on the bay but normally collection only and at the opposite end of the country.

Great minds think alike. I didn't trust the feet either so I made an angle plate specifically for the rotary table.

I have an angle plate but it isn't big enough to reach the top of the rotary table and the slots don't line up with the table

It's amazing the difference an extra clamp made. TBH I got 2 of those big carver's in a job lot a while back, I keep looking at them thinking they'll be handy some day
