Overalls

When I retired I acquired a few pairs of overalls. These are now showing signs of age including the obligatory self ignition.

Whre is the best place for new ones. I'm looking for fairly robust non flammable ones preferably.

Alot on ebay like roots good quality overalls that are ex rental so sizes are a bit hit or miss but if they have something near you then you get the quality and the cheap price

There was more important things to acquire! I still have a large stash of dairy pipe, stainless flat and bar plus aluminium sections.
Overalls were low on the priorities list

I find that pure cotton overalls are fairly resistant to ignition. Certianly good enough for general workshop use.

My current ones are zippy efforts from dickies with Velcro cuffs...can't complain at all.

Well apart from the fact the accountants at dickies workwear have pulled the plug on the brand.

i have a virtualy new pair of proban overalls that i dont wear they have my racing numbers in big white letters on the back and says driver and name on the front / would look like a right dick wearing them for work

I never followed this up.
I ended up getting a couple of pairs by Portwest from a seller on eBay. £21 a pair in 100% cotton. Seem to be nice quality and sturdy.
I'll get another couple of pairs of these are ok after wearing and washing a few times.
