outdoor kitten

is our 9 week old kitten too young to put out into the [stone] shed,she's stinking the kitchen slightly & we always have them living outdoors,but previously its been warmer seasons when introducing them from weaning to solo life,so just a bit concerned at her ability to cope with low temperatures at a young age.

I always 12 weeks was the weaning period. Personally I'd provide some sort of warm nesting box off the floor.

If kittens couldn't stand cold weather there's be no cats. Just provide some shelter out of the elements.

i made a wooden box a few years ago ,although with previous 'batches' once released[after 3 weeks] they've not used it afaik,preferring perches more elevated.

make a bed and a bit of polystyrene sheet and a cover. my outdoor dog kennel has a heated bed
