Thank you for the replies, profile sheet is nice but maybe a bit to ships container looking. A cladding of some sorts is the way to go with a breathable wrap I suppose, but any cladding is silly expensive.
A while back I read somewhere that they painted the osb with spandex masonry paint, a couple of coats with the granulated stuff, takes away the horrid texture on the boards.
I thought someone may have tried this .

I painted OSB3 with Screwfix No Nonsense Wood Treatment (Dark Brown). Pretty sure it weakened, softened or whatever the resins holding it together. The board swelled and needs scrapping now.
