I've been looking for work and have come across a number of vacancies that ask for a "CSCS card or certificate". What do they mean by certificate? It's in with the labourer positions.
I only did my HS&E test this week and therefore don't have the card yet.

Just another certificate they make you take in which they can make more money from you, it won't be long before they will start and make you take a certificate to blow your nose. Unfortunately as said above they won't let you near a work site without one. I didn't pay for mine, two day course one day telling you about the various warning signs seen around a site, PPE & HSE etc, second day test. All common sense questions.

I understand the "CSCS card" having taken the test and applied for it.
What I want to know is what is the "certificate" they say is the other option to a card?
