I currently have a small Clarke TIG machine inherited from my father, that I have a BOC bottle of pure Argon for. I also have a small Clarke (100EN) MIG machine that uses pure CO2 from Calor, basically the same bottle the pubs use.
I believe I should be using a mixture of argon and CO2 for the MIG, 2% CO2 for thin material I am lead to believe. Is this correct, and if so could I also use this same gas on my TIG machine, to save renting two different bottles.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance.
