Got dragged screaming and crying on a coach trip to York Xmas fair yesterday, the coach was impressive, one of those new space age monster things, where you climb a few stairs to the passenger level.
Full hostess service, coffee, teas etc.
When I was getting off I noticed the front offside passengers had a nice little shelf to put their hot drinks on, and about a metre below the shelf was the drivers head, no glass partition or anything else.
So my mind kicked in with the vision of the coach going down the motorway at 60mph and a cup of scalding tea falls over the driver, the outcome could be what nightmares are made of.
Even a child dropping over a toy, right onto the driver.
When I mentioned it to my mate who was with us, he saw what my thoughts were but felt it was no big deal.
So what do you think?
I am asking because I can't believe I am the only one who can see the danger and can't understand how the design has been allowed....or am I over thinking it after all?
Did get into the railway museum, some great exhibits, the massive steam trains we supplied to China in the 1930's were just gigantic.
