It looks nice, I have one with an unmarked table I paid just over half that price for of ebay.
I like everything about it except the price. It is a drill, OK a very nice one, but still only a small bench drill.
Note that this is the "long nose" model, with an extended quill holding an MT1 chuck arbor. This limits the usable head-to-table space. To be original, it should have a Jacobs No.34 1/2" chuck, and that one seems non-standard.

It's a nice drill, but it'll only really do the same as any of the similar-sized far-eastern drills will do. It doesn't have a backgear, for example, or anything else to elevate its capabilities.
Essentially, it's a nicely-executed "vanilla" bench drill. The standard speed range was usually 475 to 4260 RPM, which seems a bit fast to me.
Personally, I'd want a back-gear for that money and I'd be content with a lower cosmetic standard, but if your anticipated use is within the capabilities of the machine and you can afford it, why not?
It's "about" twice the price of a far-Eastern equivalent(-sh) drill (such as the CDP302B from Machne Mart), though I would concede that a good Star does feel a lot nicer in use than most of the newer drills I've used.
There's no right or wrong opinion: it's a lot like deciding between a secondhand classic Omega Seamaster and a new, current Seiko Prospex. You pays your money and takes your choice, with relatively little of the decision being on entirely objective criteria.

As above really, they’re not a bad drill provided you keep within the capacity. Biggest hole you’ll be able to drill is around 13mm, anything bigger will be running too quick and don’t expect to be smashing huge hole saws through bits of scrap.
one noteworthy point though is that drill you’ve posted is a long nose version, they are very difficult to come by, and means you get a morse tape rather than a fixed chuck. Obviously very sought after however they’re a bit wasted on the bench mounted version because of the limited head height. ideally you’d want a long nose on the floor mounted version. You could of course buy some bright drawn round bar the correct diameter as the current post and make it taller which would make it a good deal more useful. It also seems to have the correct rotary switch which is another hens teeth item but it’s unfortunate the person that’s painted it have chucked the stickers.
