oops i broke it

I have just changed the wire liner in my Clarke 150en turbo,now when i press the trigger i get smoke coming from the torch and from the wire feed motor,the torch gets red hot too,it seems obvious i have done something wrong when i reassembled the torch but any idea's what i have done please ? Or can anyone recommend a repair place in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area please ?

I think i might have assembled the handle internals wrong,does anyone have a pic of the inside of a 150 en turbo torch handle please ? There is a pin with a brown wire on it,i'm not sure where that goes or if i have put the spring clip in correctly

I have had a look at the liner & i can't see that it is earthing,can anyone think of any other causes for the problem ?

Also is the spring clip in the handle supposed to rest on the gas valve ? Could that be the cause of the problem ?

No, it could be shorting out, I think, if it's an EN model.
Somewhere on here is a post with a picture of the opened Clarke EN torch, which shows the spring mechanism and how it fits. I think the spring in the EN models trigger an internal switch only, and shouldn't touch the gas valve, the body of which is live.
Here's a pic from the Clarke 151EN Manual, but it's not as clear as it could be:

Thanks Keith,i'm thinking that will be the problem then because when i put it back together i put the spring so it was on the gas valve
