Online sign writing

After some (hopefully first hand!) experiences of online sign writing please.

I need a truck sign written with the usual. Name, logo, contact details. Nothing too onerous you would think.

One company here wouldn’t even quote- “too busy”; another guy took the drawings under duress then said he basically couldn’t be arsed to take it further and the third company are flat out till the end of the summer and charge accordingly.

Has anyone used any of the online ones and how easy is it to apply? I’m after vinyl not magnets.

If anyone is an investment entrepreneur then sign writing in Orkney probably would get you a decent return!!

I used to do it for a living... honestly it's not that hard to apply.

I do not have complex curves. One sort of continuos one

There.is a small company (one man band) near me who I've used. I just told what I wanted and he made them and I fitted them.
They were decals for a speed boat.
Look up Digicraft signs in Knotingley and speak to phil. I'm sure he could help

It's not that hard to do it for yourself.
I got fed up of waiting for replacement stickers for repairs on horseboxes so I just bought a cutter and a few rolls of vinyl and soon worked out how to use it.
And I'm not very computer savvy at all.

The main limitations are the size of the plotter as I can only do stickers up to 300mm wide.
The other issue is that I have zero artistic ability so I can't draw anything myself but it's pretty easy to find an image on the internet and use that.

Anything detailed like complex graphics or text needs a lot of manual work to pick out all the bits of sticker that you dont want so if the ones supplied by the online places come pre-weeded then I can't see any reason not to use them?

Putting them on is simple enough. Ideally you will have a well lit, clean, indoor workshop but it is possible to do it outside on a dry wind-free day if you ever see one.
It's also a lot easier to apply them if you know that you can just go inside and cut another one if you mess up!
