good grief.
I liked the fact that the pilot had never flown a 4 engined plane before or landed on an aircraft.
Aslo says a lot for the original design of the hercules.

its unreal isnt it... i once watched a documentary about it, it was designed to for short take offs and to get the plane out of the danger zone as quickly as possible!

Amazing stuff. As above, always fascinates me as to how these ideas come about! Is it after 15 mugs of strong black coffee, and a case of "I know how about we attach a jet fighter to each wing tip?!"
Although thats what been an engineer is all about at times
