or awning came with a magnetic thing that the awning slides onto; bloody useless it blows off, same with the rubber sucker thingy,
Creative mind clicks in. 8mm stainless steel bar? fits the slider thingy perfectly. Right into action. and fit little loops to tie loads down to as well

Park up, guesstimate where to park; loosely peg up the house, slide the plastic tube onto the bar thingy and the awning at the same time then peg out awning. One QD awning and you can drive away by just slipping the tubey things off and pop then back on return. stays put in a gale.

great idea.....
just for fun....take a look at the camper van scene in Ozz plus the equip thats avaiable and not so expensive....
a whole new world....
My daughter just did a year down there in an oldish Hi Ace van....almost 30,000klms alone....
