One for the Bikers - new JDC bike cover over Oxford

I know there's a fair few bikers on here, thought this might be of interest.
If you're unlucky in that you can't put all your bikes in a shed..
Used Oxford bike covers for a long time just replaced my 3rd one and thought I would try a different brand after reading some reviews..

Went for JDC mid range protection same level/cost as Oxfords before, the JDC is in a different class, material is much thicker, covered vents to let out humidity, nice under buckle, stretch corded hem, it feels much more fitted than Oxfords at the same range which are more baggy and thin, for £24 I am very impressed. The top range JDC ones are 4kg in weight! but twice the price but bet there still much better than Oxford reading the reviews.

Bought it January 2019 and it's done its job. Though it has faded to a grey, almost purplish colour...

That reads like a really good spec especially for the money.
My only thought is around the elasticated hem, hope they have done their homework on durable materials..

I had these stretch cloth, inside felt pyjamas custom made for indoor storage on one of the bikes when I was a bit more obsessive. £200

You could get a non-contact bubble shelter, but it does make the bike looks like a snow globe...

They do say that a bike cover is one of the best theft prevention measures. I’ve never had one myself, as always had a garage, but when touring it would be an idea if the bike is left in an open car park etc.

That's an 18 month old JDC cover. The top has the fine cracks in it. it's not really tight on the bike or anything.
The colour has faded a lot, I couldn't care less about the colour but it means it's not very UV resistant.
I think when I get another cover I will have to get a big bottle of suntan lotion.

Dont bother with a cover, doesnt stop theives and it will only get wet again when you ride it. Those that only ride in the dry are missing a lot of fun Thats been my opinion since I got tbe cbr6 100k miles ago, excluding this autumn! Hated it!

Teaches you a lot of road craft & judging conditions when you move to a car as well, bit like Eskimos have lots of different names for snow, there are wet roads, greasy wet roads etc etc. You learn that a lot on 2 wheels
