Currently in Vienne and Poitier 40 mins away. Started painting exterior walls; hellish texture to finish render, very difficult to paint using a rough/hairy roller, basically spent hours today in 30c + temperature with very little new paint coverage to show for my toils. Roll is struggling to reach with paint into the wee nooks and crannies.

I,m using standard masonary paint, are there machines for hire that will cope with a fair thickness of paint sprayed through a fine point, machine I purchased April for spraying shutters with wood treatment solution cant cope,,,,,,,,,,,unfortunately.

Any advice greqtly appreciated gents...............

Airless sprayers will push most paints through, but do have a tendancy to be a bit messy.
Mask of all windows/doors and make sure thers noting you dont want overspary on in the nearby area! Like cars

By lumpier thicker lumpier paints, do you mean crepi? I bought a crepinette (sold as a render gun by lots of sellers), and while the pattern is a bit rubbish, it goes on quick, then if I want to posh it up I can run a roller over the result.
Theyre basically spray guns with very big nozzles, and they come with a few different size nozzles. You'll probably find them in your local bricodepot/leroy merlin/bricofaire etc.

Im just on the border of haute vienne and indre about half way between limoges and chateauroux on the A20, if you want to borrow mine. You'll need a compressor too though, as mines 3 phase and sort of a cobbled together mess

Must be modern doon Limoge way to have aircon, I have a couple of unit going spare qt work, I can see them fitting fine in here Passed close to Limoge in April while heading to Rocamadour, big place, Limoge I mean!!!

Just roasted Anguses l/h cheek this evening wis braw running oot o Guinness tho better stop drinking have a dry stane dyke to pull down tomorrow and landscape the bottom of the garden. About 50kms nw of here, we're more near azerables and la souterraine in a hamlet of about 6 houses in the sticks on the edge of the limosin forest than limoges which is big sprawling city territory. The aircon is for the computers in the rack so they dont melt in the midday heat more than me though my neighbor pumps chilled water through his underfloor heating system this time of year, must go look at his setup one day. The big limit is the supply from the electricity board as they charge like mad if you want 40+ amps on your tarriff, a nice 3kw 3 phase unit would work well tho.

Still too hot for painting, Ive been plasterboarding inside the house all day and thats bad enough.

If you pass a trailer on the autoroute pulling two massey harris pony's behind a landrover 90 on sat, thatll be me bringing back my latest aquisition...

Heh, the only ponies around here, are made by massey harris.
They are two massey harris pony tractors I just picked up...
The running one we test drove, and the seller drove it onto the trailer, then driving from the trailer into the barn it threw a rod through the crankcase. Dont know what the odds of that after 60 odd years was, so ive just spent today rebuilding the spares one, and its running really sweetly after freeing up the rings with diesel, the plasticine like fuel residue was scraped out all of the fuel lines/carb/fuel pump etc...
Wont be peaceful tommorow when we're testing out its plouging abiliies

No, leave the four legged ones for people with too much money!
Had the motor autopsy the other day, throttle shaft on the carb was so worn it had wore through the bosses on the carb body and had about 5mm of axial play, so I think the rpm regulator couldnt control speed with the massive air leak and the revs went too high and thats when the conrod broke, even though it was on about 1/8th engine speed setting...
My mrs caught the overrev on video as it goes, about 2 seconds after this ends so does the motor :-

Weathers turned colder again now with some rain, which is a pain because the boggy bits were drying up nicely...

Wyn, indeed, end of the finger mower firmly dug in because of the camber change, so steer into it before it broke the mower blade.
Its not really the job for short grass, I think I need to keep a eye out for a topper, or a s/h topper gearbox and use some of these spare cutting decks Ive got lying round...
