on/off/stop switch for pillar drill

My 1970's 240v pillar drill is currently wired through what appears to be a domestic lightswitch bolted to the side of the drill. Any suggestions on where can I get a proper on off switch for it?

just buy a 20 amp double pole surface metal switch .they come with backbox

Look on ebay for motor starter. This would include an overload device and possibly a no-volts release.

I Got a NVR on/off switch for my bandsaw from Axminster ,would work on your drill a treat .

Thanks, now I realise they are called an NVR, been searching for "240V stop switch" and the like and bringing up nothing. Axminster one looks just the job, much better than the lightswitch. thanks!

What the NVR switch does that a regular one does not is that it turns off automatically if the power is cut. So say you are drilling an there is a power cut, when the power comes back on the drill will remain stopped till you press the button again.

NVR you can also use a 3 phase switch for single phase 240v as long as the coil voltage is 220-240v.
