Old Triangle of Hyde welder info please

Morning all, would anyone know the rating / output of this Triangle welder ?
I picked it up yesterday, was still plugged in and working, no information plate other than the makers serial number and address.
Came from a house garage sale, the leads are shot but I can make use of my others.

Heard of the company but never seen one of these. I have no doubts it will work well. Last one I bought was like an Oxford but some other brand, I bought the welder to get the Gedore Trolly it was sat on, I gave the welder away!

Looks a lot like this beastie. My late dad's welder. When I was a small boy (I'm 65 now) I wrote off to the company for a new settings label for the top of it. I still use it occasionally - it welds just fine. I made a little conversion to be able to plug in my dinse leads from other welders.

Hi, I have a Crypton Triangle arc welder, 250Amp. Its single phase and seems to be in good working order although it is very old. Does anyone know where I could get some info on this, i.e. what the settings are. Cheers

I have a crypto triangle 180a welder not oilcooled however it's a good old set. Not used too much now however.
I have a little oilcooled Oxford too lovely machine welds all day no bother.
I would say you got a bargain there

Took the cover off to have a look and found the live terminal that takes the power to the windings was quite loose.
That meant top cover off the welder to have a look and get it tightened back up.
All looks ok inside, oil clear too.
The main feed from the mains goes to the welder via a old MK cooker socket so that’s been apart too.
