Old Sprockets Wanted.

I'm on the scrounge chaps!
If anyone has any old worn motorcycle sprockets, fronts preferably, but rears will do as long as they're steel not allymoonimum - could I have them please?
Same for any old worn or warped brake discs too.
If you have, PM me and I'll give you my address. I'll pay the postage too.

Don't worry - I'm not going to put them on a bike, I need them for some ideas for a project.

I'm making something for a friend. Vague - I know, but I can't say too much as they do dip in here occasionally, although not as a registered member.

Try your local bike mechanics, when I was using bike chains I got loads from them, the grubby guys in small workshops are the most helpful.
Degreasing them is great fun and the fumes are disgusting even after degreasing.

It's not dumbass laws, it's dumbass people who make up laws in their head, that don't actually exist. Yer bike dealer fella is talking' out his erse. Even if it is "hazardous waste", it's up to him to decide what the proper manner may be, and that could well be giving discs a rinse under the tap to get rid of any asbestos (do they still use that in pads?), and handing them to you!

Nah. He's a locally well-known tighta$$ and wouldn't give anything away if he thought he could get something for it. He's probably saving them to fit to some poor bu99ers bike. It wouldn't be the first time .

Find the boys wprking out of an unheated shack or maybe a grotty breakers.
Alternatively buy a torch and a socket set and go hunting at night.
