Intotal we ended up with 7 old gas meters.
All were set aside for a scrap metal run, but the local yard we have an account with, would not take them.
But did give us a phone number they use to have them disposed of correctly.
The members who took them to the yard did not ask why, just accepted that they would not be taken.
The number was contacted and today a Nice Gas man took them away.
But did leave us with a few rolls of PTFE tape, part rolls of solder and tin of flux.

When qe had our boiler replaced the parts arrived via DHL and the waste was collected as well.read this
