Old Gas Meters

In a recent batch of tool and other goodies donations we ended up with 3 (EDIT) house gas

meters.



Are we allowed to keep them/scrap them?

Or are they still owned by the Gas board?



Can they be used for anything else?

If those are for acetylene I can't see why you cannot keep them

They are for metering the gas supplied to a house.

How old?

Technically they belong to the supplier but I could legally buy them in certain circumstances

If there will be a date, when I go back, were is best to look?

If they are old all they will do is throw them in a skip, doubt they are going to be compatible with smart meter roll out, I've seen skips full of old meters all awaiting recycling.

What else? In my experience they are great for measuring how much 2nd family gas (excluding lpg) at about 20mb, im not surevsbout anything else

No idea, the 5 we have are all differant.

In the scrap bin.
The copper pipes attached to some is in the copper bin.

The majority voices today, was to "junk em."
Not going to messing around with something with no clear plan off action.
