Does anyone know if the likes of BOSCH are sending the parts to china to be assembled or are all the parts made there?
Most European manufacturers are just importers really these days, there are certainly very few that I deal with.
The main problem that I find with China (from a work point of view) is spontaneous parts substitution, it requires diligent quality control by the Importer / Manufacturer.
One concern I have is that Chinese financial institutions are moving into the UK, for example Northern Wok.
Listen Hitch I`ll look into that. Good one Roger. You know what? It doesn`t feel good that tool. Just handling it ....the switch feels crap and the motor has that worn bearing sound that the cheapos have. The stuff I got from Aldi which has a Made In Germany on it actually feels better.
Time will tell......

Register it online, at the BOSCH website, and i believe they give you an extra 2 years warranty.
Cant be that bad if they do that![]()
Alex this is a Bosch blue, its part of there industrial range, its ment for people like me to use it constantly for an hour at a time continious use. If you think the build quality is a little poor, what is there green stuff like now (the DIY range) worse than the B&Q own range?
out of interest what did it cost you in money terms, bottom of the range Metabo is around 45-50 quid for a basic industrial grinder
