Oil Filler Breather Plug Required

Hi;

I have an old PH12 Snapon Compressor with a broken Oil Filler / Breather Plug, the top has snapped off.
I though I found one on Ebay for £3.20 but when it arrived the top end was very wide and would not fit :-(

This is the pump and you can see the snapped off Oil Breather / Filler.

The Pump is similiar to an ABAC IMC ATLAS Copco B3000 and the only parts supplier I can find is in the US here there is no real good picture of the Oil Filler?

I have measured the width of the threaded end and its 16mm.

Any idea where I can get one from in the UK, I have tried several suppliers but no responses.

Just fixed it, sorry I moved the pic to a different library :-(

That should be a standard BSP thread, probably 3/8. Get the old bits out and make one from fittings and a bit of pipe.

Could be, where from and what size thread? rtbcomp reckons it might be 3/8 not 16mm

3/8 BSP is 16mm within a gnat's crotchet.

The adaptor and silencer arrived but although the adaptor fits fine 3/8 - 3/8. The Silencer looks like is 1/2 inch thread grrrr, looks like they sent the wrong bit from Hong Kong!! Could just get a 3/8 male to 1/2 female I suppose.

It's only to stop crap dropping in there and to let it breathe. Just cut a piece of sponge and shove it into the hole.

The Silencer looks like is 1/2 inch thread grrrr,

tell them and get the correct one on its way FOC they are normally good at doing that as the postage to return is more than the actual cost.
you could always use a little of Samantha's sponge cake to keep you going till you get to Bangor .
