The trouble is the thing is so blinkin heavy, its not an easy thing to salvage, my sensible brain cell says leave it, but my Steptoe cell says otherwise.

if that says 380 450 volts single phase it wont run on 240v . a lot of old motors on farms worked on 2 wire 415 volt and that's an old welder
looks like a big old bit of kit ...a place I worked at years ago had a massive Oxford ,it worked as smooth as a smooth thing on planet smooth .....Is there an elf 'n'safety issue about the oil in these oil cooled beasts and the PCBs..? ...jeff
