Better stockup then Paul. Why not find out who supplies his pub and go to them, get A bottle then a few weeks later take one of your existing bottles in and get it refilled (waving your recent recipt) get a rappor going. Had similar problem with my local gas supply depo, guy said he had sold the business and new boss will only supply pubs (with the way pubs are being nocked down/changed use, 10 within 3 miles of my home, glad I don't drink!!) think he should have deversified. Luckly I had previously got bottle at another place so took empty to them for refill and got an exchange!

The country is loosing far too many pubs per day, 50 or something iirc, pubs are a big part of the community that should be treasured, all in this together B****** wont wash with me tbh.

Pubs should be cheap and shops expensive, this could solve a few other problems too.

Best direct your ire at the PubCos, they are primarily responsible for most of the closures. Being a landlord at a tied pub must be like having to pay protection to the mob.

I thought it was down to customer numbers with shops being soo cheap people drink at home more often now, especially during this economic state we are in.

if a landlord is tied to a brewery ie not a free house then pint for pint the public can buy beer a lot cheaper then the landlord can from the brewery.
lets take a small barrel of fosters for instance a landlord can go to an independant stockist and get the exact same barrel of fosters £80 cheaper then the brewery supplies it to them and on top of that the independant stockist also makes a profit.

so all in all the pub companys are choking the life out of their own bussiness
