found a few things on this tig set. it's italian built, rebadged as oerlikon. it's got "Esseti" printed on the boards. All surface mount ******.
Found a dead 600v supressor diode that goes across a main transistor along with the transistor that went pop. the collector had burnt straight through and obviously the heatsink's are earthed so probably why the RCD was tripping. ordered some new 50A 600v Transistors
this set is fan cooled, might have to change that to water cooling once it's working and braze up some water blocks.
figured i would update this, welder is fixed. two Transistors and a supression diode later and all is good. cost about £13 quid.
could do with a diagram still as there is a little glitch with the temperate light, warning light come on as soon as you turn the welder on and set it to DC or DC-HF. but doesnt with stick welding selected. think it might be interference because it flickers and goes saft. i didnt put any glue on the legs of the transistors.
