Was modifying an intercooler today. It welded Beautifully! Until i got to this one section.
The pipe comes out of the intercooler directly into a 90 bend up the side of the intercooler. there is maybe 1" of space between the end tank and the pipe. Just enough room to get the torch in between...
Only way i could describe is...was that the weld puddle was "Magic Sand" and i couldnt get a decent weld!
in comparison, the remaining 75% of the pipe welded beautifully on the same settings.
Does it sound like a Gas Issue? was on approx 5lpm. Not enough, too much?
