Do not use flat ends on a pressure vessel.

Its common practice to have flat end plugs operating at up to 300 bar. In fact i cannot think of a single manufacturer of cylinders that do not.

I will correct myself, I would not advise the use of flat ends on a pressure vessel of any size containing a gas.
