I took a college course last year a (ocn level 1 welding mig).
I had to do 4 test pieces buttweld,lap weld,corner piece, and t-fillet on a flat position.
My booklet says that we learn to the bs4872. The pieces once judged good enough by tutor are sent away for inspection.... they are look at and you get a certificate.
i am currently doing tig level one at the moment. just wanted to see what people opinion is of the course. For a stepping stone into get a company to even look at you , will this course really help?
